FENDI is celebrating the launch of the Astrology collection of swim and beachwear at South Coast Plaza through June 29, 2023. The circular installation is at the center of Jewel Court, the site of recent exhibitions by Loro Piana, Van Cleef & Arpels, and Cartier. The design features FENDI’s iconic script and red and white stripes. The interior of the exhibition offers an interactive astrology-themed video booth. After selecting one’s astrological sign, a custom digital animation showing the visitor in a starry sky is created, ready to be shared on social media.

Drawing on iconic collections from the House’s archives, the FENDI Astrology edit included in the installation is a reflection of past and present, curated for summer. The garments feature illustrations of the zodiac signs in English and Italian as originally drawn by Karl Lagerfeld alongside key codes established by Artistic Director of Couture and Womenswear Kim Jones. A bold new canvas Peekaboo bag is printed with the illustrations, as are ready-to-wear separates, swimwear, draped satin kaftans, and dresses. An assortment of jewelry completes the collection. Each astrological sign is reinterpreted in the form of sleek charms that may be worn as a mono-earring or a necklace pendant; multiple signs can be combined creating an exclusive eye-catching statement necklace.

Following historic performances at Washington, D.C.’s Kennedy Center and the London Coliseum, The United Ukrainian Ballet will make its West Coast debut with Alexei Ratmansky’s Giselle. This new interpretation of one of the greatest romantic ballets in the classical repertoire was created specifically for the company by Ratmansky, who himself is a Ukrainian citizen.

These performances will be the first time Ratmansky’s Giselle is presented in collaboration with Liev Schreiber and his non-profit organization, BlueCheck Ukraine. Thanks to the underwriting support of Elizabeth Segerstrom and the Henry T. and Elizabeth Segerstrom Foundation, proceeds from ticket sales will benefit BlueCheck which was created to vet, verify, and fund Ukrainian-led local and grassroots frontline organizations providing lifesaving humanitarian aid.
