A well-known OC editor and writer visited South Coast Plaza during the holidays, with stops at all three of the holiday and Christmas trees at and around the shopping center. Trela writes that the tree by the Westin South Coast Plaza is a popular photo spot for families; the large, three-story tree in Macy’s Home Wing is more whimsical with winter figures and a toy train running through it; and as for the one-of-a-kind Louis Vuitton tree in Jewel Court, Trela says: “It’s definitely cutting edge and not traditional, but it has its own unique charm—and it’s a terrific promo for the Louis Vuitton store a few feet from the tree.”
