South Coast Plaza ushers in the holidays

South Coast Plaza welcomed the season with a holiday spectacular complete with snow, dancing reindeer and Santa Claus.
Hundreds squeezed in at the park area next to the Westin South Coast Plaza for the annual tree lighting ceremony. But before the switch was flipped on the brightly decorated tree, students from the Orange County School of the Arts performed holiday numbers to entertain the crowd.
Once the tree was lit, fake snow fell to finish putting everyone in the festive spirit.
