Louis Vuitton

Originally created in 2002, the Tambour marked Louis Vuitton’s first foray into watchmaking. Made of PVD-coated stainless steel and identifiable by its unusual shape, the coveted timepiece evokes strength and solidity, and more than 15 years after its debut, the watch is being reintroduced as the Tambour All Black.

Entirely matte black from the dial to the DLC-coated steel ardillon buckle, the masculine watch comes with interchangeable straps fitted with Louis Vuitton’s innovative patented system and is available in two versions: the sporty 46 mm Tambour All Black Chronographe or the 41 mm understated Tambour All Black Petite Seconde.

Also created to mark the 15th anniversary of the Tambour watch is a new interpretation of a classic—the Tambour Moon Blue—designed for women (available in 28 mm, 35 mm and 39.5 mm cases) and men (available in 41.5 mm, 42 mm and 44 mm cases). Wearers can easily switch straps from leather to canvas, rubber to alligator without the use of tools—ideal for on-the-go travelers.

A different shade of blue is expressed in the Escale Worldtime watch, originally unveiled in 2014. Master craftsmen spend 40 hours, employing 38 different colors, completing a single vibrant dial. Made from brushed titanium and polished white gold, the 41 mm case-back reveals an aluminum disc coupled with an oscillating weight that rotates around a large “LV” in frosted glass.

Blue or black, delicate or strong, these timepieces make you feel connected to the larger world—all with a glance at the wrist.
