GIFT IDEAS TO CELEBRATE CHINESE VALENTINE’S DAY

While the West observes Valentine’s Day on February 14, the Chinese celebrate the traditional day of love during the Qixi Festival (七夕).  According to Chinese mythology, two star-crossed lovers – a cowherd and a goddess who came to earth as a weaver – are reunited once every year with the help of sympathetic magpies that form a bridge for couple on the seventh day of the seventh month of the lunar calendar. This year, this occasion takes place on Tuesday, August 25.

With this everlasting love story as the foundation, Qixi has evolved to become a major occasion for gift-giving and romance. From coveted bags to fine jewelry and timepieces, gifts for Qixi are available from more than 80 of our boutiques through in-person appointments at our new, open-air Pavilion and via curbside pick up – SCP 2 Go. Select boutiques also are open. Here, some luxury gift ideas.
