FITNESS FINDS

For those looking to update their gear for 2024 fitness goals, South Coast Plaza’s newest boutiques include TYR, HOKA, JD Sports, and a newly designed New Balance.

TYR creates innovative and performance-driven apparel, footwear, eyewear, and swimwear. South Coast Plaza’s boutique is the brand’s second in the world.

Trendsetting running and fitness brand HOKA is next door to TYR on South Coast Plaza’s West Side, offering both low-profile and signature max-cushion shoes for road, trail, and all-terrain.

JD Sports is a favorite for fans of innovative athletic shoes and apparel, offering globally recognized brands and the hottest sneaker drops.

New Balance offers running shoes, apparel, and accessories dedicated to performance at the refreshed new boutique on the West Side.

These new boutiques join other best-of-the-best brands such as Nike, The North Face, lululemon, Vans and more. Plus, South Coast Plaza’s luxury brands also offer fashionable and functional activewear apparel and fitness equipment.

SLEEP

Getting enough sleep is key to good health, and yet studies show that one in three American adults are sleep deprived. South Coast Plaza’s new Casper boutique, opening in January, will offer outrageously comfortable sleep products including mattresses, pillows, bedding, furniture, and even dog beds.

Casper customers can book complimentary nap appointments, choosing 30 min, 45 min, or 1 hour, where they can experience a personalized trial of the product offerings, or just take a nap if they would like. Other innovative features of the new store include the brand’s first Snooze Bar, where Casper’s sleep specialists can educate customers on all things sleep; a Bunkhouse getaway for kids to enjoy while their parents shop; and a Pillow Lab, an interactive experience where customers can learn about and test each Casper pillow.

Sleep solutions are also available at South Coast Plaza’s many home furnishing and accessory stores and boutiques, including Frette, RH, Tempur-Pedic, Crate & Barrel, CB2, West Elm, Pottery Barn, Lovesac, Macy’s Home, and more.

 BEAUTY AND WELLNESS

Newly opened Byredo adds Parisian chic to the collection of beauty, fragrance, and wellness brands at South Coast Plaza that includes Diptyque, Fresh, Jo Malone, Kiehl’s, L’Occitane En Provence, Sephora, and more. All support at-home aesthetics treatments and multi-step self-care routines. In 2024, Santa Maria Novella will join the collection. With roots in apothecary art dating back to 1221, the new boutique will offer skincare, fragrances, and wellness products.

JUICES, TONICS, AND CLEANSES

On opposite ends of South Coast Plaza, Nékter Juice Bar and Pressed offer juices, smoothies, and plant-based bowls with energizing and nutrient-rich ingredients. For a New Year reset, both brands offer cleanses to help renew, revitalize, and rejuvenate.

Consider walking about a mile roundtrip between Pressed and Nékter Juice Bar and sampling from both brands. Add in a loop around Segerstrom Center for the Arts for an extra challenge. Walking the wings, pedestrian bridges, stairs and outdoor spaces of South Coast Plaza and the adjacent cultural campus is among the most aesthetically compelling fitness routines anywhere!
