BVLGARI UNVEILS FLAGSHIP BOUTIQUE AT SOUTH COAST PLAZA

Costa Mesa. CA – BVLGARI, The Magnificent Roman High Jeweler, is pleased to announce the grand opening of a newly expanded and relocated boutique with over 5,000 square feet in renowned shopping destination. South Coast Plaza.

The boutique’s modern design concept pays tribute to Rome’s rich heritage with the majesty and grandeur of the Eternal City as inspiration, featuring iconic luxurious materials and a contemporary Italian design throughout. The store’s new and innovative façade is inspired by Bvlgari’s iconic Tubogas, symbolic of ancient craftsmanship techniques from the 1940’s to date. Guests are welcomed into a magnificent space through a white Travertino Navona marble, a stone synonymous with Roman architecture, in the same shape of the entrance portals from Via dei Condotti’s historic flagship store. An exceptional chandelier in the form of Serpenti by Venini in Murano glass, celebrates one of Bvlgari’s icons. Serpenti represents uniqueness as well as the harmonious continuity between Bvlgari’s Greco-Roman heritage and contemporary design. The recognizable Bvlgari Condotti eight-point star in red porphyry, which dates to the first Bvlgari shop opened by Sotirio Bulgari in Rome in 788LJ, is a focal point in the middle of the boutique. The star is a unifying symbol found in all Bvlgari boutiques, honoring Rome as the brand’s origin.

The new boutique will debut a commissioned painting by local artist Gena Milanesi. The piece is called Fleeting Moments, synonymous with watching a west coast sunset. “I’m a lifelong admirer of the brand’s cultural legacy and overall craftsmanship,” said Milanesi. “With my Italian roots and growing up in California, this project means a great deal to me since it seamlessly blends all aspects of my individual style. Whether it be on a canvas or a jewelry collection, these daring colors make a statement that becomes timeless.”

The Maison will introduce the High Jewelry category at South Coast Plaza for the first time with the “Californian Journeys” capsule collection including exclusive High Jewelry and Watch pieces, Fine Jewelry and Accessories inspired by the enchanting landscapes of California and the timeless majesty of the Eternal City. The debuting High Jewelry collection presents iconic Bvlgari designs, featuring exquisite stones such as mandarin garnets, rubellites, morganites and pink tourmalines in the warm tones of the west coast sunsets. The exclusive “Crystal Sparkle” Leather Goods collection includes Serpenti Forever XS bags with hand applied Swarovski Crystals. For the first time a Fuji Crocodile Serpenti Forever handbag with pave diamond Serpenti clasp will be unveiled. The South Coast Plaza location will also feature the Roman Maison’s most iconic jewelry and accessories across core collections such as sculptural B.zerol sleek Serpenti and delicate Divas’ Dream.

In a newly conceived, dedicated watch salon exclusive to Bvlgari’s timepiece creations, the South Coast Plaza boutique will house an extensive range of ladies and men’s timepieces including coveted High Jewelry watches and complicated men’s watches. Notable pieces include a Serpenti Misteriosi, exclusively previewed at South Coast Plaza. The piece in rose gold and black lacquer is set with madarin garnets and features the smallest round mechanical movement on the market: Piccolissimo.

The boutique will also offer an assortment of watches from the Octa Finissimo World Record Saga. 

South Coast Plaza will be the first location worldwide to showcase the brand’s olfactive creations with a new fragrance experience, highlighting the Le Gemme and Allegra fragrance collections.
The boutique will be home to the first Bvlgari Lounge in North America. featuring a bar inspired by the Bvlgari Tubogas design, and providing guests the opportunity to enjoy the art of Italian hospitality with light refreshments.
