A Very Special Evening Celebrating Lang Lang

Together the Lang Lang International Music Foundation and Segerstrom Center for the Arts announced a new partnership at a private reception on Sunday, March 20, 2022.

The partnership includes introducing the Foundation’s Keys of Inspiration® program to Orange County in collaboration with the Henry T. and Elizabeth Segerstrom Foundation and Segerstrom Center for the Arts. Five new piano labs will be opened in public schools in Costa Mesa and Garden Grove. This collaboration will give a total of nine schools and over 4,000 children in La Habra, Anaheim, Santa Ana, Garden Grove, and Costa Mesa access to this important education initiative.

 

 

Also announced was 101 Pianists® where 100 young pianists will be brought together on the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall stage at Segerstrom Center for the Arts to have a unique music performance with Lang Lang on September 19, 2022.

The evening included performances from 3 of the Foundation’s Young Scholars ™ along with a surprise performance from Lang Lang and his wife Gina Alice.
