Burberry Introduces the Animal Kingdom Collection
Burberry has launched the Animal Kingdom collection, with exclusive pieces available at South Coast Plaza for a limited time.
Since joining the house, Chief Creative Officer Riccardo Tisci has reinterpreted the brand’s rich heritage, reinvigorating many of its house codes – including the Burberry animal kingdom code. Thomas Burberry chose to represent his company with an emblem of a knight on a horse. For his family crest, he chose a unicorn. Riccardo has built on this history by developing and evolving new animal prints and motifs each season. To highlight the theme, Burberry has juxtaposed the TB Bag and Pocket Bag with large-scale animal sculptures in a pale shade of celadon, inspired by Thomas and Riccardo’s recognition of the power and symbolism of animals.
The selection of products for a limited engagement at South Coast Plaza includes exclusive editions of signature Burberry leather goods, including the Pocket Bag – a structured tote referencing an archive style – and the TB Bag, which takes its name and inspiration from Thomas Burberry, with a distinctive clasp featuring his initials. These and other bags have been reimagined in exclusive new colorways and styles. Softly structured bucket bags, punctuated with the Thomas Burberry Monogram, are available in blush pink and natural with orange accents. The Robin has been reimagined in Monogram-flocked charcoal and green, red and blue and accented with the Thomas Burberry Monogram clasp. The collection also include silk scarves, card cases, crossbody leather cases, leather AirPods cases and jewelry.
The Pocket Bag is inspired by an archive Burberry tote. The original silhouette was reinterpreted with a front pocket and contrast trims, while the canvas and leather details reference Burberry’s equestrian heritage. Exclusives include the medium Pocket Bag in canvas with black, navy and dark green leather trims. Mini Pocket Bags are available in canvas with orange and pink accents. The Mini Pocket Bag is also available in Monogram-flocked yellow and blue, red and blue, yellow and orange, and green and charcoal.
The TB Bag is crafted from 28 pieces of refined leather and finished with hand-painted edges. Exclusive new colorways include smooth navy leather, crimson and pecan, canvas and leather with orange and pink accents, and grey with navy. The TB Bag in quilted Monogram leather is available in small in pale green with white accents, orange and brown, with a medium available in sesame. They all have adjustable gold chain straps. The woven leather TB Bag, which references Burberry’s iconic check, is available in small in pink, navy, sand and orange, and in medium in sage green and black. The TB Bag with flocked Monograms is available in medium in yellow and blue, green and charcoal, and in small in red and blue, and yellow and orange.
Monogram Motif Canvas and Leather Bucket Bags are available in blush pink and natural with orange accents. Carry by the top handle, or use the detachable strap to keep hands free.
