Fueguia 1833

Argentine perfume house Fueguia 1833 is bringing its cult-followed olfactory universe to Orange County with the debut of its first West Coast gallery at South Coast Plaza. Launched in 2010 by artist and founder Julián Bedel, the Buenos Aires-born perfume laboratory has earned an international following for its limited-edition creations crafted through a vertically integrated process that spans botanical research, ingredient cultivation and formulation. The South Coast Plaza outpost follows the success of the brand’s New York City galleries and signals a significant expansion for Fueguia 1833 in the U.S., positioning Costa Mesa alongside global luxury capitals that already host the house. Designed by Bedel, the approximately 753-square-foot boutique channels the spirit of California villas and adobe architecture through tactile natural materials, carved wood details and a sculptural custom table displaying 105 perfumes—including the U.S.-exclusive Ronroco edition I-XXV, developed in collaboration with Oscar-winning Argentine composer Gustavo Santaolalla. Beyond perfume, the immersive space introduces Orange County clients to the full Fueguia 1833 universe, including Fueguia Casa, Atlas de Ingredientes and its rare vintage scent archive aged for more than five years. More than a boutique, the gallery is conceived as an artistic retreat—an intimate environment where perfume becomes a sensory ritual rooted in nature, craftsmanship and contemplation.
