The first wave of openings includes names such as Bvlgari, Cartier, Casper, Chloé, Gucci, Lanvin, and Palm Angels.

Also coming to South Coast Plaza in 2024 are boutiques from Alaia, Amiri, Armani/Caffè, Baccarat, Courrèges, Dior Men, Eileen Fisher, Jacques Marie Mage, Mejuri, Santa Maria Novella, Wolford and Zegna, with additional announcements expected in the coming months.

In particular, Cartier and Bvlgari are set to unveil expanded Jewel Court boutiques in spring 2024, joining the impressive collection of luxury timepiece and jewelry boutiques that makes South Coast Plaza the largest in North America, including Harry Winston, which will also redesign and expand its boutique later in the year.

Likewise, Gucci is poised to open a 19,000-square-foot flagship location, adjacent to the largest Balenciaga boutique in the Americas. Chloé and Baccarat are reimagining their existing boutiques, while Dior prepares to launch a new men’s store adjacent to its flagship location.

Lastly, Palm Angels, a sophisticated street brand, is set to enhance the Din Tai Fung wing in early 2024, joining recent additions Byredo, Rimowa, Missoni, Alexander Wang, and Gentle Monster.

The expansion follows the opening of over 30 stores in 2023, with recent debuts from Balmain, and Giorgio Armani. Notably, international fashion group OTB made history by simultaneously launching three of its brands, Maison Margiela, Marni, and Jil Sander, in adjacent boutiques—a first for South Coast Plaza.

Lanvin and Jacques Maria Mage will open boutiques nearby later in 2024. Meanwhile, Giorgio Armani personally designed a newly relocated boutique, with plans to transform the adjacent coffee bar into Armani/Caffè this year.

Balmain president, Emily George, expressed excitement about the flagship boutique’s late 2023 debut, stating, “We are so thrilled to join the ranks of luxury brands at the Iconic South Coast Plaza and offer our loyal customer base in Southern California the highest level of products and service close to home.”
