See’s Candies recently unveiled its new boutique at South Coast Plaza and we had the opportunity to chat with Pat Egan – President and CEO of the beloved brand. Dive into our exclusive conversation and discover his favorite candy, a hint at the return of an exciting Halloween collab and more!

 

What’s your favorite candy in See’s lineup?

“Well, of course i do live them all, but the one I love the best – that i didn’t actually know that we had until we got here – was the Pecan Butterscotch Bar. It is amazing! I want everyone to try it because it is unmatched! It’s fantastic!”

 

What’s behind See’s century-long success and customer loyalty?

“Quality without compromise is our North Star. Our founders, Mary and Charles, the See’s family, started this company with that notion and were going to make the best candy on the planet, with the best ingredients and provide the best service anywhere. And, 104 years later, we’re still doing that. Just like we started. Our customers love us so much and we feed off that energy.”

 

Are there any upcoming flavors or products you can tease?

“We have. couple things coming up. I would encourage everyone to look at our social media from last October-ish, and we rolled out a collaboration that time last year, and we’re about to roll out again. So, two words i’ll say: Squishy Halloween”

 

 

“We’ll, i just want to say thank you very much to the whole South Coast Plaza. It’s been great to work with this company. We’ve been here since 1971, we love it so much we have two shops here! And we’re really thankful to the South Coast Plaza team.”
