We had the opportunity to chat with her about her love of fashion history, archival pieces and the perks of brick-and-mortar shopping!

When did you first become interested in fashion history?

I know that i loved dressing up and wearing clothes from a very early age, but fashion history for me was really more when i was in high school and i got into my love for costuming in the movies and in Broadway shows. So history of fashion was a second love to looking good. Looking good came early!

What is your favorite archival piece in your closet?

I bought this amazing vintage Dior Couture dress, that was made for the actress Maria Felix. Mr. Dior himself sewed the tag inside with her name.

Do you prefer to shop online or in-person?

For me, brick and mortar is key. I like to shop in person. I like to wander around. i like to touch everything, but i think there’s nothing better than wandering around a store and being like *gasp* I just saw that from across the- and i have to have it and i get to touch it and I get to leave with it in my hot little hands. I don’t like when something gets shipped to me and i have to wait for it. I want instant Gucci gratification always!
