Shop the Must-Have Fall Looks from the Harvesters Fashion Show
If color is a sign of the style mood for the season, then fall must be all about optimism. At this year’s Harvesters Fashion Show by South Coast Plaza, bold and vibrant hues were a welcome and uplifting sight, a sign of hope or a portent of better days ahead. Produced exclusively for the Harvesters philanthropic organization to benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County, the runway show featured select fall highlights from 11 South Coast Plaza’s boutiques – Chloé, Isabel Marant, Lanvin, Marni, Moncler, Monique Lhuillier, Oscar de la Renta, Salvatore Ferragamo, Stella McCartney, Versace and The Webster
Some standouts: Chloé’s peach and white long graceful dress with dramatic long straps draping down the back and Monique Lhuillier’s sand-hued wedding gown decorated with flower ruffles were among the favorite pale-hued looks.
Saturated bright colors were like a jolt of energy, including the fire-engine red on Lanvin’s ruffled dress (one of several covetable ruffled dresses from the show), an audience favorite. Ferragamo opened its segment with a head-turning monochromatic “Footballer Blue” leather jacket and shorts with shiny electric blue F-heel pumps. Stella McCartney’s sunny lemon halter dress with lace insets evoked thoughts of packing for a holiday getaway in the winter to a tropical destination. We couldn’t help but smile at the ’80s inspiration at Versace – a head-to-toe study in Barbie pink consisting of a sleeveless mini with a skater skirt, matching logo tights and satin platform pumps.
