Discover the exquisite linens and natural fibers of 120% Lino
120% Lino is now open on level 1 in the Saks Fifth Avenue wing, the first for this Italian brand in the Western U.S. and a South Coast Plaza exclusive. As its name implies, the boutique specializes in women’s and men’s ready-to-wear made of fine linen and other natural fibers.
The collection incorporates classic pieces that can take the wearer from day to night, from beach to city, with an endless spectrum of shades and tones, achieved with the company’s exclusive dyeing and washing process. Every detail of the garments is meticulously cared after, from delicate embroidery to imprinted mother of pearl buttons. The boutique rounds out its offerings with accessories, including beautiful Rosantica statement bags.
The idea for 120% Lino began in 1983 when Italian stylist Alberto Peretto was wandering in London through the Camden Market’s dusty stalls and discovered an exquisite linen jacket. That jacket reminded him of the unforgettable off-white linen suit worn by the character Brian Fitzgerald, aka “Fitzcarraldo” in the eponymous 1982 film by German director Werner Herzog. That inspired Alberto to launch a brand based in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Bologna focused on the timelessness and global appeal of linen.
