For the past 18 years, the month-long Festival of Children® was held at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, California, to celebrate the magic of childhood and the charities that work tirelessly to improve the lives of children across Southern California. This year, the event will pivot to an online fundraising campaign for 67 local children’s charities whose resources have been dramatically impacted by the pandemic, with 100% of funds raised going to the charities.

With the theme, “Let’s Pony Up for the Kids,” this year’s virtual event which runs the entire month of September, will also feature a special performance by Kodi Lee, America’s Got Talent 2019 Champion, on Saturday, September 5, which can be viewed at www.festivalofchildren.org/ponyup. The gifted musician has been a highlight of the event for 13 years, performing at many Opening and Closing Ceremonies.

While in years past, the family-friendly festival featured 100+ live activities and performances at the center, this year the virtual festival will offer a myriad of online entertainment each weekend for children of all ages, including Debbie Allen Dance Academy, the Wyland Foundation, Orange County School of the Arts, McCoy Rigby Conservatory of the Arts, among many others.
